Как к занавеске прилетает моль,
как половицу прогрызает мышь.
Во тьме под потолком зияет антресоль,
и в кухне чайник тщетно прячет ржавый бок.
В ботинках вырос горький мох,
и за трюмо расцвёл камыш.

Гвоздя не видит колесо в пыли,
камаз улитку застаёт врасплох.
Вдоль тракта тёмные леса произросли,
и ночью кучера хранит лишь сонный конь —
ты смертный час не проворонь,
не пропусти последний вздох.

Надо мной летел нелепый голубь
и застрял в тумане где-то.
Кто-то тихо стукнул меня по лбу,
но лица я не заметил.

Consider a curtain, and a clothes-moth approaching it,
Consider a floorboard, and a mouse gnawing a hole through it,
The gape of a ceiling cabinet looms in the dark,
And a kettle in the kitchen tries to hide the rust on its side — in vain,
A pair of old boots sprouted a bitter moss inside,
And a bunch of reeds grew behind the console mirror.

A tire can't see a nail in the dust,
A truck takes a snail by surprise,
A dense forest grew along the road,
And at night only the sleepy horse can protect the coach driver.
Try not to miss the moment of your death,
Be sure to notice your last breath.

A silly pigeon flew over my head
And got stuck in the fog somewhere.
Someone thumped me on the forehead quietly,
But I didn't get a change to notice their face.
